Investing in North River Energy
This winter North River Energy is working on fi-nancing on several separate fronts.  This month the  company is submitting proposals for state grants from California, and it may be pursuing other grant opportunities in 2009.  North River Energy is also soliciting potential future contracts with utilities and customers who purchase small-scale power generation. The com-pany is  trying to develop a type of  construction loan that would  allow banks to finance  its wind and hydro-electric production projects. This would involve some type of deferred amortization based on one or more future contracts with utilities.

At this point in time North River Energy is looking for the following:
Up to one million dollars in match funding for its Cali-fornia Energy Commission grant proposals, should the state accept one of the current proposals this spring.
Start-up financing for the Alaska wind energy projects, which would run into several million dollars.
Future contracts with Pacific coast utility, industrial, com-mercial, health care, educa-tional, and governmental power generation purchasers that could be used to secure the  match funding and Alaska investments.

In addition to this, North River Energy remains open to the possibility of potential equity and debt investments in the company's start-up energy projects and research and development program.
